Before I put any money down on the R1S , and I’m ready to , I would like to know how my vehicle will receive service ? I’m not sure if this has been asked yet . It would be nice to know . I live in upstate NY we have cold winters . I drive an Ev now and understand the battery loss in cold weather this could cause service problems and I don’t really want to get stick with a service issue

At the event in Denver, I was told unofficially that Rivian is working on a "white glove service" program that would bring the service to you. No matter where you live, a mobile device would come to you to service your vehicle.
Yes, this has been asked by many across many forums and articles as it is clearly near the top of the checklist for most potential buyers. Rivian has not officially announced how service will be handled yet, so the short answer is it's not known at this time. As Isn't That Something mentioned, Rivian knows how important this is to vehicle owners and critical to the company's success. I suspect they're already working out the service details and in Rivian form won't release any details until they feel that have a solid program in place, but that's just my humble opinion.
Buyers of the Rivian will not be ignored or be lacking in service in my opinion. This is as crucial for any product not to fail. Lets not concern ourselves at this moment in time. Rivian is moving expeditiously on many things and I'm sure service is just as high on their list. Most start up companies have never been this much under the microscope.
