Knowing that a spare tire will be optional, what type of jack will Rivian supply to raise such a heavy vehicle? A hydraulic jack built into both sides would be a good option,. sort of like motor home levelers. Could tie in with the air suspension. Yes many reasons why this isn't possible but have to ask.

"Knowing that a spare tire will be optional "
@Isn't That Something, I'm curious on what this is based on. There has been some mention or coverage in R1T pictures or video, I forget which, to the location and size of the spare and even less (none actually) with regards to the spare on the R1S. In another Rivian forum there is a thread discussing the spare tire but nothing specific has emerged. The OP even emailed Rivian multiple times looking for an answer but no response.
So if you don't mind what was the source of information that led you to believe the spare tire will be optional and whether it was related to the R1T, R1S or both. Thanks!
I've got an addendum to my previous comment. I'm using this comment from the Tesla forum. For tire changing, and/or rotating, it would be nice to have a built in electric jack at each corner of the car, independently controlled, to lift each wheel off of the ground. Indy cars use pneumatic jacks which are activated by connecting an air hose to a fitting on the car during pit stops. I'm crediting this comment to rlwrw.
