I asked Dr. RJ Scaringer when I saw him in Seattle at the pre-order private party:
1. How much does towing of 5000 to 7000 lbs RV impact the R1T range??? he said possibly about half depending on conditions (hills etc...).
2. I asked him that I am interested to purchase the middle R1T with the middle battery pack (135 KW) and interested to rent the auxillary battery when needed. Is RIVIAN moving forward with the plan of having the auxillary battery pack of about 100 KWh available for us to purchase or rent??
RJ stated that yes but not soon since they are busy with other stuff.

Most definitely. This test run is a model X but will be for all EV's I believe.
